SSC CPO Exam Notification 2018
So, you must ask when does actually the notification comes from official website ? Staff Selection Commission publishes the employment notification on March / April on their website. This year advertisement No 3/1/2018-P&P-II notified about the CPO Exam 2018. On 3rd of March 2018 application form opened for recruitment of SI and ASI posts in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and CISF.

Posts recruited through SSC Central Police Organisation Exam
The name of posts under Delhi Police for which the Staff Selection Commission has issued the employment notification are –
- (i) Sub-Inspector (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). It is Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts.
- (ii) Sub-Inspector (Executive) – Male / Female in Delhi Police and it falls under Group- ‘C’ Non-Gazetted posts.
- (iii) Assistant Sub-Inspector (Executive) in CISF and this post comes under the Group-’C’ also.
Number of Vacancy for 2018
- There are total 86 posts vacancy for the Sub-Inspector (Male) in Delhi Police.
- There are total 53 number of vacancy in Delhi Police for the post of Sub-Inspector (Female).
- For the post of Sub-Inspector in CAPFs, there are total 107 number of vacant positions.
However, no announcement has been made regarding the number of vacancies for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Executive) in CISF. It will be intimated later by the commission.
Staff Selection Commission Police SI ASI Vacancy – Important Dates

Educational Qualification Required for SSC CPO Exam 2018
Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent as on 01.08.2018 is the required educational qualification for the Sub-Inspector as well as the Assistant Sub-Inspector post.
Are Male & Female both eligible for the SSC CPO Exam ?
Yes, both the male and female candidates are eligible for the Examination. Interested aspirants can make online application for the post of Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector. The candidates have to be aged between 20 to 25 years (as on 01.08.2018) to apply for the S.I and A.S.I posts. The category based details of age relaxation is given below –

Examination or Application fee
There is minimal fee levied for the exam and application procedure. The application fees is Rs.100 for the General Category and OBC male category applicants. The Women candidates or the candidates belonging to the SC, ST or Ex-Servicemen category are exempted from it.
Mode of Application Fee Payment: The applicants can either pay their application fee through online mode using debit card or net banking or offline through asserted SBI branches using the downloaded SBI challan.
How to fill Staff Selection Commission CPO Exam Application Form
The applicants have to apply through online mode only. They can apply through any of the given link http://www.ssconline.nic.in or http://www.ssc.nic.in. Some general steps which should everybody take care of are –
- Visiting the official website.
- There, you will find an internal link where you can locate “Apply” word.
- Then click on CAPF.
- After that, you will land in a page where you should see some application form.
- Therefore, enter your details.
- Check all the data twice which you have provided.
- Then, submit the application form.
- Now depending of your category, pay the application form fee.
- Save all the necessary details or generated registration or application number with you.
The application form is available from 03.03.2018 to 02.04.2018. After filling up the online application carefully, the candidates need to submit the fees (wherever applicable) and keep the challan or payment receipt for future use. The link will get disabled after the specified date.
SSC SI ASI Delhi Police CAPF CISF Selection Process 2018
The examination will contain following steps for recruiting the Sub Inspector / Assistant SI in various departments. So, we are providing here the details of the selection steps –
1st Step – Computer Based Examination (CBT) Paper 1.
2nd Step – Physical Standard test (PST) & Physical Endurance Test (PET).
3rd Step – Paper 2 Exam.
4t Step – Medical Examination.
Computer Based Test (CBT)
Ab initio, the candidates have to appear for the Computer Based Examination from 04.06.2018 to 10.06.2018. The candidates scoring above cut off marks in this test will be called for the Physical Endurance Test / Physical Standard Test. the commission reserves the right to decide about the cut off marks of CBE and it will be considered to be final and irrevocable.
Physical Test (PST & PET)
The Physical Standard has to be acquired by all the candidates and it is also mandatory for them to successfully go through the Physical Endurance Test (PET). There will be events like 100 mts race, 1.6 kms (male) /800 kms race (female), Long jump, High Jump and Shot Put (male only) in PET. The candidates who will get through both PST and PET will get call letter for the Paper-II examination. Paper-II examination will bear 200 marks. SSC has fixed the exam date for Paper 2 as 01.12.2018.
The total marks obtained by the candidates in the Paper-I and Paper-II will shortlist them for the Medical Examination. After detailed medical examination, the staff selection authority will call the selected candidates for the document verification process. Remaining absent on that day or failing to produce valid documents before the commission will result in the rejection of the candidates. As a result, they will not be able to join the next step.
SSC CPO Exam Pattern & Syllabus – Structure of CBT
The Paper-I Computer Based Examination will bear 200 marks. There will be questions on General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension in Paper 1. In Paper-II the knowledge of the candidates in English language and comprehension will only be checked.

Medical Standard for Delhi Police SI ASI CAPF CISF
All the shortlisted candidates after the Paper-II will have to appear in the Medical Test. Then, the Medical Officer of CAPF or any other Medical Officer prescribed by the commission will examine them.
The candidates’ minimum near vision should be N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye). The distant vision should be 6/6 for better eye and 6/9 for worse eye. However, candidates may log on to the official website and check the detailed information about medical requirement.
SSC CPO Exam 2018 Admit Card Download Link
Two weeks prior to the commencement of the Computer Based Examination, the Staff Selection Commission will issue the Admit Card for the post of Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector. Candidates can download it from the official website of the commission. Admit Card will not be issued by post. So, after downloading the candidates must take a print of the Admit Card and carry it to the examination hall on the day of the test. There will be separate Admit Card issued for each step of the selection test.
Staff Selection Commission Police SI ASI Result 2018
After the Staff Selection Commission finish conducting the examination, they will also release the scorecard for exam. At first, the paper 1 result will get disclosed. The Commission is yet to declare the date of the publication of the result. The candidates are therefore suggested to check the website of the commission at regular interval to obtain all the updates on time.
